There are several mountain biking initiatives in the area. The Friends of Philpott have been busy trying to save Jamison Mill.
We have been helping by working with them and other organizations building multiuse trails. Southwest Virginia Mountain Bike Association have a page dedicated to the progect SVMBA Jamison Mill Page. The fourth Saturday of the Month is dedicated to trail building in the Chatmoss area.

There is an initiative to create mountain biking in the Chatmoss area. Jim Frith is heading that up. Things are progressing.
